About BGAL Bowling

Mission Statement

Big Gay Al's Bowling League strives to provide a fun, positive environment for the LGBTQQ community. We inspire sportsmanship, camaraderie and a true sense of belonging. Everyone, gay or straight, is welcome to participate or come watch. Our purpose is to bring people together to support the LGBTQQ community in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts. To this end, a portion of our weekly bowling dues, as well as money collected through other various league-sponsored fundraising events, is distributed to organizations dedicated to advancement of ideas which affect the LGBTQQ community. These organizations include but not limited to AIDS Project Rhode Island, AIDS Care Ocean State, Marriage Equality, and Rhode Island Pride. Both through the donations provided by league members, and the spirit of togetherness and friendly competition fostered by weekly team bowling, Big Gay Al's Bowling League endeavors to make a difference in the community.
